By 2018, the implementation of energy efficiency (EE) and renewable energy source (RES) measures in the public sector resulted in a cumulative energy savings of 160 GWh, and the cumulative CO2 emissions reduction was 39 kt. The values of both indicators now lag behind the indicative annual target values by 32% and 20%, respectively, which is slightly less than the previous year, when the lags were 38% and 32%, respectively. Given the foreseen implementation of the measures in 2019 and 2020, we expect that the values of both indicators will continue to increase in the future; however, the lag behind the target values, resulting from the lower intensity of investments in the period 2015–2017, will not be made up by 2020.
